I have started this blog to document and share my favorite recipes with friends and family. It is yet a teeny tiny blog as these are just my little first steps in the food blogging world. So please be patient with me, I will do my best to fill this blog with loads of yummy recipes!
I love to bake, cook and eat good food. I can spend hours in the kitchen, trying out new recipes. Which often means that I cook a LOT of food. Luckily, I don’t have to eat all that food by myself, I have three very willing guinea pigs at home, my wonderful husband and our two gorgeous boys. And usually, my co-workers are quite happy if I bring ‘leftovers’ to the office.
During the week, there isn’t so much time, but I still try to cook fresh and healthy, yet simple family meals that are mostly done in a flash. And although the weekends are getting busier with all the kid’s activities, I always hope to get a couple of hours in the kitchen to try out new recipes, tweak some old ones or bake a few goodies.
I don’t follow any particular diet, but I try to avoid sugar as much as I can and cut down on (simple) carbs where possible. Many recipes will be low in sugar or (refined) sugar free and more or less low carb. Having said that, I have to admit I am a sucker for freshly baked bread (the real deal), a good pasta dish and French fries. And chips and dips… and cheese… and… quite a few other things. OK, I love all food. Period. So you will also find some ‘less’ healthy recipes. After all, it’s all about balance, right?! I guess I’ll just eat a few cookies now and munch on some carrot sticks later 😉
